2. Tasks covered by Specific Legislation
Many tasks have specific legislation which must be followed.
High risk and/or specialist workplaces will be aware of these laws and will be adhering to them.
This does not mean that task analyses are not necessary – they are – but it will be easier to carry them out as set working methods will already be in place for the Competent Person to observe. However, the CP must be aware that he or she might not have the necessary expertise or knowledge to understand the task which is being demonstrated.
Due to pressures of work and time, it may not be possible for the CP to have the necessary training, in which case it will be necessary to liaise with HR to determine the recruitment...
