5. Fork Trucks
Using a fork truck in the workplace is a hazard with the potential to cause harm to the operator, to those working in the vicinity and to equipment such as racking (if struck by a fork truck).
For all employers operating fork trucks, there are actions to be taken to ensure that the truck is used safely and in accordance with legislation. The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) lay out the responsibilities of employers who use plant and equipment in the workplace.
